Exceptional vineyards
Chateau Cristi vineyard

The Chateau Cristi vineyard is the heart of our wines, the place where their unique character is born. Located in the south of Moldova, it is situated in a picturesque area, close to the Danube Delta and Lake Cahul.
This region is known for its unique microclimate, which combines the warmth of the southern sun, cool breezes from bodies of water and moderate humidity.

The soils

The soils here are poor, made of clay and limestone, which forces the vines to go deeper into the ground in search of nutrients. This helps concentrate the flavor and aroma of the grapes, creating the basis for exceptional wines. The elevation difference from 80 to 134 meters adds variety to the exposure of the plots, allowing the characteristics of each grape variety to be revealed.
On an area of 130 hectares, we grow an impressive range of varieties: from international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Pinot Noir, to autochthonous Moldovan stars such as Feteasca Niagre and Rara Niagre. This balance of tradition and innovation allows Chateau Cristi to create wines that reflect not only the richness of the terroir, but also the skill of the winemakers.
